How We Help

An injury claim is an investigation with a deadline

Most injury cases are won in the file — the scene evidence, the records, the witness nobody called — long before any courtroom. With 700+ investigations behind him, Attorney Liken builds injury claims evidence-first. And the clock is real: 3 years for motor-vehicle crashes (C.R.S. § 13-80-101) and 2 years for most other injuries (C.R.S. § 13-80-102).

Car, truck & motorcycle crashes — the 3-year deadline (C.R.S. § 13-80-101), fault and insurance, and Colorado’s modified comparative-negligence rule (C.R.S. § 13-21-111) that bars recovery only at 50% fault.
Other negligence & premises — slip-and-fall and unsafe-property claims (C.R.S. § 13-21-115) and dog bites (C.R.S. § 13-21-124), on the 2-year clock.
What your claim is really worth — medical bills, lost wages, and pain & suffering, with a straight read on Colorado’s noneconomic-damages caps.
Dealing with the insurer — why the first offer is low and why a recorded statement helps them, not you.
The investigation edge — scene, records, witnesses, and valuation, worked like the cases Attorney Liken built for the government.
Fees that fit — contingency arrangements where appropriate, so you don’t pay unless we recover.

Ready when you are — talk it through with Attorney Liken.

Your choice: no-charge 20-minute phone call OR in-depth hour ($300) — both directly with Attorney Liken.

Don’t give a recorded statement first

Before you talk to the other driver’s insurer, talk to us — the no-charge call is exactly for that. What you say in the first week can quietly shrink your claim.

Fees you can plan around: clear fee agreements, flexible payment plans through Affirm, and secure payments with Square.
Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

How long do I have to file an injury claim in Colorado?

Most personal-injury claims must be filed within two years, but claims from a motor-vehicle accident generally have three years (C.R.S. § 13-80-101). Waiting risks losing the claim entirely, and evidence fades — so it is best to talk early.

What is my injury case worth?

It depends on medical bills, lost income, the severity and permanence of the injury, and pain and suffering, and Colorado caps certain non-economic damages by statute. An investigation-first approach — scene evidence, records, and careful valuation — is how the firm builds a number it can defend.

Do I have to pay upfront for a personal-injury lawyer?

Injury matters are commonly handled on a contingency basis, meaning the fee comes out of the recovery rather than your pocket. The specific arrangement is always set out in a clear written fee agreement before any work begins.

Should I accept the insurance company's first offer?

Rarely without advice. First offers are typically low and made before the full extent of your injuries is known. Once you accept and sign a release, the claim is over — so it is worth having any offer reviewed first.
