ServiceShield: Veterans & Active Duty
By Attorney Charles E. Liken Jr., former government fraud investigator with 700+ investigations and former Deputy District Attorney. This program is open only to Colorado U.S. military veterans and active-duty servicemembers, and every member is cleared by our office before access is granted.
Membership is exclusive
ServiceShield is a members-only program. Member benefits are shown only inside the ServiceShield member portal. Your benefits appear there once our office clears you.
How to get verified
Veterans: upload your DD Form 214 on our secure verification form (black out your Social Security number first). Need a copy? Request your records from the National Archives or through VA.
Active duty, Guard and Reserve: a DD-214 is issued only when you separate, so we confirm current service through the Department of Defense SCRA status website using the name and date of birth you enter on the verification form.
Do not send a photo or copy of your military ID or Common Access Card. Federal law, 18 U.S.C. § 701, restricts copying those cards.
A person on Attorney Liken's staff reviews every request. Once approved, you receive a permanent personal link to the member portal, with no expiration.
